Qualifications required:

Ability to perform tasks listed in the job description

Superior work habits and ethics

Extensive experience/knowledge in electrical work

Electrical certification preferred

Ability to work independently and ensure timely completion of work orders

Ability to work well with administration, faculty and staff.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Repairs and renovation on existing building structures.

2. Repairs and renovation on existing outside facilities.

3. Electrical repair work to HVAC units.

4. Electrical work.

5. Replacement of floor tiles, ceiling tiles or panels.

6. Plumbing repairs, including replacing pump couplings and minor boiler or furnace repairs.

7. Hanging or removing chalk boards.

8. Repair of roofs.

9. Pouring, finishing, sealing or repair of concrete or asphalt.

10. Replacement of windows.

11. Changing filters on roof.

12. Repair of window sills, baseboards or door moldings.

13. Repair doors and locks, or installation of panic bars and closures.

14. Painting

15. Any and all other duties assigned by a Supervisor regardless of whether or not such duties are included in this job description

Minimum Qualifcations:

Superior work habits and ethics - self motivated

Ability to work well with administration, students, faculty and staff

Ability to work independently and ensure timely completion of work orders

Ability to perform the duties of the position

Essential Physical Requirments:

Lifting, pulling, pushing and moving items (some in excess of 100 pounds) on an occasional basis

Lifting, pulling, pushing and moving items (40-60 pounds) on a regular and repetitive basis

Capable of operating all equipment and machinery necessary to perform duties

Extensive use of hands including repetitive gripping, grasping, lifting, manipulation of tools, etc. and the ability to ambulate independently and lift significant weight and sized items

Must be able to speak, hear, see, write, walk, climb, stand, stoop, kneel, bend, twist, turn, push, pull and reach (above head and below knees) on a regular and repetitive basis.

$21.60 to $23.05 Per Hour
