in Loves Park, IL. is currently searching for individuals to fill our General Laborer position.
GAARD LLC
is a full service pavement company. We specialize in Seal Coating / Crack Filling, Striping, and Asphalt and Concrete maintenance on commercial and residential properties. Applicant must know or be willing to learn any/all of these services. Company vehicles will be provided to travel to jobsites after daily check in at the shop.
Candidate must have:
Experience Preferred, but on the job training is available. Valid driver's license , Class C preferred. Must be dedicated and reliable to the position Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends Must be willing to work overtime Must be able to lift 50lbs unassisted Must be able / willing to work continuously on your feet at a fast pace Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures for long periods of time Must be willing to work in a team environment Must uphold a professional attitude. Communication to co-workers, office personnel, customers and suppliers Must be able to strictly adhere to safety standards and job site requirements Must be willing to be flexible with duties. The General laborer performs tasks involving physical labor. Duties include but not limited to: ⦁ Operating a variety of hand and power tools ⦁ Preparing sites ⦁ Cleaning up debris, and removing waste materials. Reviewing daily job sheets and loading all required materials prior to leaving to job location Verifying that all equipment is in being used properly and reporting immediately any issues Verifying all applications are being applied to the company and customer standards Properly shutting down all equipment when the job is complete ensuring all tools have been collected and securely fastened in trucks / trailers.
