Maintenance Assistant

Maintenance Assistant Woodland Manor Nursing and Rehab | Elkhart, IN Woodland Manor Nursing and Rehab is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for our skilled nursing facility in Elkhart, IN . The Maintenance Assistant performs a variety of maintenance, light cleaning, and organizational duties to ensure the facility remains safe, functional, and well-maintained.

Pay Rate:

$18.00 per hour Shift Available Part-Time - Approximately 25 hours per week Responsibilities Maintain facility by repairing walls, baseboards, doors, ceilings, mirrors, and windows , and removing trash Move furniture as needed to complete assignments Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing staff when working in resident care areas Assist with terminal cleaning of resident rooms upon transfer, discharge, or death Follow maintenance schedules and supervisor instructions in accordance with facility policies Perform routine maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, plastering, and mechanical work Maintain grounds, parking areas, and walkways through cutting, trimming, sweeping, and general upkeep Replace burned-out light bulbs, including exit and overhead lighting Support the Preventative Maintenance Program to ensure proper operation of equipment and systems Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled, including weekends and holidays Respond to unscheduled or emergency maintenance tasks as needed Qualifications Previous experience in maintenance, cleaning, or related fields preferred Familiarity with cleaning materials, tools, and maintenance equipment Benefits We strive to provide our employees with a comprehensive and affordable benefits package , including: Medical and Prescription Drug Coverage Dental and Vision Care Telemedicine Program Company-Paid Group Life Insurance Voluntary Term Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability 401(k) Savings Plan Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Commuter Benefits Planned Time Off (vacation, personal, sick, and state sick leave) Benefits, as well as bonuses and variable compensation plans, are based on applicable state law and factors such as pay classification, job grade, location, and length of service
