ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This list represents the types of duties required by the position. Other duties may be assigned as reasonably expected. Performs manual work in the operation, repair and maintenace of golf course and facilities. Precisely mows and trims greens, tees, fairways, and roughs. Waters plants, trims trees and shrubberies, clears debris, and maintains course aesthetics. Assists with monitoring, repairing, and adjusting sprinkler heads and drainage systems Cleans restroom facilities. Removes trash from designated park areas. Unload tables, benches and chairs, as requested. Follows all applicable safety procedures, uses proper safety equipment, and operates assigned equipment in a safe manner. Performs other duties or tasks as apparent or assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITY
Knowing the game's rules helps you maintain the course strategically, such as avoiding disruptions while golfers are hitting. Demonstrates good attention to detail Possesses a mechanical aptitude Ability to communicate effectively with guests, employees, and others of all ages and diverse backgrounds. Demonstrated capacity to learn new tools, processes, and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in landscaping or general labor, preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Driver's License.
EQUIPMENT
Pickup truck, weed eater, hand mower, hand blower, riding mower, 2-way radio, and miscellaneous hand tools.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and walk, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move a minimum of 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required in this job include vision and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work will be performed outside. Noise levels can be quiet to moderately loud. Employee will work in various weather conditions which will include extreme hot or cold conditions.
SCHEDULE
30 hrs/week, Monday-Friday. Some weekends, as necessary
