Maintenance Worker - Hotel

Job description: Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance and demonstrate proficiency in various technical skills. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, performing repairs, and maintaining equipment to provide a safe and efficient environment. Responsibilities Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and facilities. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to programmable logic controllers and electrical systems. Perform welding tasks as needed to repair or fabricate components. Interpret schematics and technical drawings to assist in maintenance tasks. Execute residential painting projects to maintain the aesthetic appeal of the facilities. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for tracking maintenance activities and inventory management. Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with staff and clients regarding maintenance needs. Supervise junior maintenance staff, providing guidance and leadership to ensure high-quality work standards. Maintain mechanical knowledge by staying updated on industry best practices and technologies. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance with a strong understanding of mechanical systems. Proficiency in electrical work, including the use of an ohmmeter for testing circuits. Familiarity with manufacturing environments is preferred. Strong leadership skills with prior supervising experience highly regarded. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer service. Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to maintenance tasks. A proactive approach to identifying potential issues before they arise.
