Responsibilities Perform regular pool cleaning tasks, including skimming debris, vacuuming, and brushing pool surfaces to maintain cleanliness and clarity. Conduct routine inspections of pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorination systems to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues with pool equipment using hand tools and power tools, ensuring minimal downtime. Maintain proper chemical levels by testing water quality and adjusting chemicals according to safety standards. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and chemical treatments administered. Assist with opening and closing pools seasonally, including draining, covering, or winterizing pools when necessary. Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations during maintenance procedures. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair pool equipment efficiently. Experience with equipment repair, including the use of hand tools and power tools for maintenance tasks. Knowledge of pool maintenance procedures such as water testing, chemical balancing, and cleaning techniques. Familiarity with the use of service technician tools to diagnose issues quickly and accurately. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy equipment, bending, and standing for extended periods. Excellent attention to detail to ensure pools are safe, clean, and compliant with health standards. Previous experience in pool maintenance or related service technician roles is highly desirable.
