Job Description

Shop Assistant Pay Rate:
Up to $23.00/hour, depending on experience.
Work Location:
Onsite - Lafayette, LA 70508
Work Schedule:
9-hour/day | Five days a week
Duration:
2-year contract with possible extension/conversion based on performance and other factors. Raise is currently hiring a Shop Assistant on behalf of our client. They're expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Responsibilities:
Provides labor and semiskilled support to service supervisors, operators, specialists, mechanics, or repairers in the operation and maintenance of equipment and tools. Assist in the operation and maintenance of equipment and tools. Drive hot-shot equipment as required. Start and monitor designated equipment. Perform routine rig-up or clean-up labor at the well site or at the warehouse/service center.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record for the operation of company vehicles. Proven experience or the ability to be certified in operating heavy machinery, specifically a forklift. Parts knowledge is a plus, including the ability to identify, source, and verify correct components for equipment repairs and preventive maintenance tasks Proficiency in computer skills, including the ability to navigate inventory software, log maintenance data, and manage digital communications. Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively, managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues to achieve shared operational goals.
