Pineville, La Job Summary Our client is seeking a dependable and skilled Building Maintenance Technician with carpentry experience to assist with the maintenance, repair, and improvement of city-owned properties and municipal buildings. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and can work independently as well as part of a team. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with the potential for full-time city employment and excellent benefits upon permanent hire. Responsibilities Perform general carpentry repairs and maintenance on city buildings and facilities Repair doors, windows, walls, ceilings, flooring, and trim Install and replace fixtures, hardware, and building materials Assist with remodeling, renovation, and improvement projects Conduct routine inspections and identify maintenance needs Operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean and organized condition Follow all safety procedures, policies, and city regulations Perform other maintenance and facility-related duties as assigned Benefits During Contract Assignment 1st
