Colony Center for Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a talented and self-directed part-time, 24 hrs/week, Maintenance Assistant to work in tandem with our Maintenance Director to oversee the care and upkeep of our physical plant and life safety compliance programs. If you are experienced in trades, preferably in a long-term care/skilled nursing facility setting, this position may be perfect for you!
REQUIREMENTS FOR MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT
: Experience in HVAC, plumbing, electric, carpentry, snow removal, emergency management and general maintenance; Long-term care/Skilled nursing experience highly preferred; High school diploma or equivalent; Strong work ethic, self-driven, results-oriented; Compassion and empathy for our Residents and Staff; Willingness to adhere to guidance and direction as provided by the Maintenance Director and other members of the facility's Leadership team; The ideal candidate must be self-driven, results-oriented and efficient with their time. They must also possess a strong, independent work ethic and the ability to prioritize work orders.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT
Report to the Maintenance Director. Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, plastering/painting, HVAC, snow removal, general maintenance and other technical tasks as assigned. Ensure completion of all maintenance and repairs as directed by the Maintenance Director in compliance with company policies and applicable safety codes. Provide oversight when the Maintenance Director is off on contracted maintenance/repairs to ensure timely completion of services. Maintains a safe operating environment and fire prevention practices. Performs on-call responsibilities in the event of mechanical failure or emergency when Maintenance Director is not available or needs assistance. Conduct periodic inspections and audits of the building and grounds as assigned by the Maintenance Director. Join us as our Maintenance Assistant today!
