The successful candidate will receive case management services if hired. WORK Inc., a nonprofit human service provider agency in Dorchester is seeking an individual with a disability to perform general maintenance duties at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library, 200 William T. Morrissey Blvd. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry and HVAC is required. Duties include but are not limited to: assisting in the performance of routine maintenance and repair tasks in the areas of plumbing, light electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting and sheet rocking.Minimum qualifications:
two years of experience in maintenance or mechanical work. Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions: Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools. The position currently pays $27.87 per hour at 40 hours per week and includes an individual plan of benefits including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance and life insurance that are paid for in full by the employer . Other benefits include 11 paid Federal holidays, two weeks of paid vacation after one year of employment and 56 hours of sick time per year. The candidate will need to have an ability to respond during "off hours" to building emergencies such as snow removal, floods etc., during evenings and/or weekends.
