Maintenance Worker I

Small Description:

Maintenance Worker I responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex utility and facility systems in a cGMP-regulated environment. The role requires hands-on technical expertise, strong safety compliance, and the ability to respond to emergency maintenance needs.

Job Responsibilities:

Operate, troubleshoot, and repair utility systems including WFI, RODI, clean steam, HVAC, autoclaves, and electrical systems Maintain systems such as compressed gases, wastewater treatment, and bulk chemical distribution Support equipment startup, commissioning, and system modifications Provide technical input for parts sourcing and inventory Ensure all work complies with cGMP standards and company policies Deliver responsive and professional customer support Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies Work with tools and equipment like scissor lifts and boom lifts

Skills:

Must Have:

1+ year of experience in commercial maintenance Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems Experience working in a 24/7 environment (cGMP facility preferred) Nice to

Have:

Trade certifications or relevant licenses Experience working in cold rooms or with HVAC systems

Qualification:

Minimum 1+ year relevant maintenance experience Knowledge of safety practices including LOTO, confined space, ladder work, and hot work permits Ability to work with and around chemicals such as glycol, IPA, Spor-Klenz, and refrigerants
