Job Description
We are seeking an energetic Facilities Staff Member to join our team and assist with a variety of tasks, from light maintenance to custodial work. This essential, non-exempt hourly position plays a key role in keeping our active Church facility clean, safe, and welcoming for all. The Facilities Staff Member will report to the Minister for Facilities and work closely with a small, dedicated team. Responsibilities include setting up and taking down tables, chairs, and seasonal equipment for events across multiple areas of the facility. Daily tasks involve emptying trash receptacles and ensuring all soap, paper towel, and toilet paper dispensers are full and functional. The Facilities Team is also responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the building, which may include floors, walls, sinks, toilets, windows, mirrors, tables, and common areas. Cleaning duties include vacuuming, mopping, and trash pickup. Light maintenance is required as well, including changing light bulbs, minor painting, and assisting with basic repairs. Candidates should be familiar with the safe use of cleaning products, ladders, and power tools. Applicants must be able to stand or sit for extended periods, bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift at least 40 pounds. Our facilities operate from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and weekends. This position may include weekend shifts.
