Job Description

Mount Calvary will be hiring a full-time Building Service Worker to perform building cleaning and facilities maintenance work throughout the Church. Employees will receive on the job training in the application of simple manual skill, use of cleaning equipment, and supplies to clean the interior and exterior of the building. Nature of work requires sustained physical effort and involves some heavy work in moving or lifting furniture and equipment. Employees are considered emergency personnel and are required to report to the building during inclement weather, assist with security protocols, and address safety concerns. Weekend work required. About Mount Calvary Baptist Church Mt. Calvary Baptist Church was founded in 1902 as the First Baptist Church of Lincoln Park and given its present name in 1910. Subsequently in 1959, Mt. Calvary was incorporated as "Mount Calvary Baptist Church of Montgomery County, Maryland" and has been designated as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization since 1987. Mount Calvary is located in Rockville, Maryland, within a historically neighborhood known as Lincoln Park. Lincoln Park has been designated by the State of Maryland as a historical site. Mt. Calvary's facilities include three buildings. Its present sanctuary was built in 1961. Two buildings have been annexed to it- the Houston G. Brooks Educational Wing, built in 1986, and the Leon Grant Family Life Center, built in 2006. The mission of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church is "to lead our community and worle to abundant living in Jesus Christ. We, therefore, have been purposed by God to build lives through the Power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ." (John10:10)
