40 hours per week A vacancy exists in the Department of Corrections. The shift for this position is 11:00 PM- 7:00 AM (overnight) and this position is located inside of a Correctional Facility.

Possession of a high school diploma or an appropriate equivalent; PLUS At least two years' storekeeping or warehousing experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Thorough knowledge of storeroom and warehouse inventory and storage methods. Skill in receiving, storing, and issuing personal property. Skill in taking inventory of personal property. Skill in maintaining records and files. Skill in performing arithmetic functions. Ability to use automated storeroom and warehouse inventory systems and databases. Ability to communicate effectively. Licenses and Certificates Possession of a valid driver's license equivalent to a noncommercial, class C Maryland driver's license is required at the time of appointment. Proof of Licenses, Certifications and Education Applicants are required to submit proof of licenses, certifications and education beyond high school to meet the required qualifications of the position. Diplomas or transcripts must show the applicant's major field of study. Copies and unofficial transcripts are acceptable. Failure to submit proof of Licenses, Certifications and Education will result in your application not being considered. EXAMINATION PROCEDURE
Applicants will be qualified based on an evaluation of their training and experience, as stated on their application. Applicants must state the dates and duties of past and present experience clearly and completely for evaluation purposes. Conditions of Employment Employees in this classification are required to work nights, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. Employees must attend and satisfactorily complete the requirements for certification, as dictated by the Maryland Correctional Training Commission within one year of appointment. Employees must pass retraining requirements as mandated throughout employment. Physical and Environmental Conditions The work of this classification entails job function performance in a correctional facility with some walking, lifting, carrying, and other physical activities. Character Requirements All applicants must be of good moral character and emotionally stable, as determined by a comprehensive background investigation and test for drug use.
