In this role, you will perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, including landscaping, equipment repairs, and general building upkeep. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your mechanical knowledge and landscaping skills while contributing to the overall maintenance operations of our organization. Responsibilities Perform landscape maintenance including, tree trimming, gardening, and landscape upkeep to maintain attractive outdoor spaces. Operate hand tools, power tools, excavators, and other construction equipment safely and efficiently for various repair and installation projects. Conduct routine building maintenance such as fixing fixtures, repairing surfaces, and ensuring all systems are functioning properly. Manage irrigation systems, snow plowing during winter months, and other seasonal outdoor tasks to keep grounds safe and accessible. Assist with painting projects such as exterior light poles and canopy decking. Support tree care activities including pruning, planting, and removal to promote healthy growth and safety. Collaborate with team members on landscaping projects and ensure all work adheres to safety standards and quality expectations. Qualifications Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience in using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment such as excavators. Prior experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is highly desirable. Knowledge of irrigation systems, snow plowing procedures, tree trimming techniques, and hardscape installation is a plus. Ability to operate landscaping machinery including mowers, trimmers, and other landscaping equipment safely. Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude towards maintenance challenges. Relevant certifications in landscaping or construction are advantageous but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
