Job Description

Overview The Operations Staff team member is responsible for helping with the setup/clean-up of events as well as maintenance and upkeep of the venue. Under the direction of the Operations Manager, this position prepares the arena for events, including arranging chairs and tables, athletic floors, and monitors and troubleshoots during the event to respond to malfunctions and other needs. This role pays an hourly rate of $14.00-$16.00 Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan, 401(k) matching. This position will remain open until November 6, 2026. Responsibilities Daily maintenance of the building and equipment. Assist with yearly ice removal and installation. Supports with building overall maintenance. Assist with maintaining all hockey-related areas. Cleaning locker rooms, emptying trash, sweeping floors, mopping floors, and all other jobs assigned. Perform general labor, including removal of dasher advertising, removing glass, setting of tables and chairs, building stages, setting pipe and drape, detailed cleaning, exterior maintenance, snow removal, painting, etc. Able to assist with mowing, weed eating and other duties as assigned at the MEC and Tourist Park Complete end-of-shift duties when scheduled. Work a flexible schedule based on events, including nights, weekends, and holidays when needed Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience with facilities maintenance is preferred. High school diploma or GED is preferred. Ability to work a flexible schedule based on events, including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Ability to follow basic instructions and directions. Ability to lift heavy objects frequently. Familiarity with ice operations such as ice removal or ice installation is a plus.
