Job Description

Meadow View Manor Health & Rehabilitation is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to support our facility operations. The primary purpose of this position is to assist with the day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Director and may also be directed by the Administrator all within the accordance of the current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, regulations, and Beacon standards. Major Responsibilities - Repairs HVAC equipment cooling units, heating units, hot water systems, ventilation equipment, and other standard equipment. Repairs and installs drywall including mudding, taping, and sanding. Painting and touch ups Minor plumbing repairs. Snow removal to ensure safety for residents, public, and employees. General landscaping and yard work. Performs other duties as needed and as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of three feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of three feet. Knowledge of modern management techniques. Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc., of the Maintenance Department.
