Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Assistant to join our team at a skilled nursing facility in Jefferson City, Missouri. This role supports the overall safety, functionality, and appearance of the facility to ensure a comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks throughout the facility Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents Maintain outdoor areas, including light landscaping, snow removal, and grounds upkeep Ensure compliance with safety regulations and facility policies Assist with room turnovers and preparation for new residents Keep maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized

Requirements:

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous maintenance or handyman experience is a plus Basic knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) Ability to use hand and power tools safely Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must be dependable with a strong work ethic

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
