Job Description

Minimum Qualifications:
Must be 18 years or older with three or more years of experience relevant/similar to the listed job functions or completion of a relevant technical training program or job certificate. Responsibilities - What you'll do This is a senior-level position accountable for performing skilled maintenance tasks and overseeing a variety of facility, grounds, specialized trades, and contractors in the maintenance, operations, and repair of state facilities, equipment, and grounds. Employees work in a variety of trade areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, concrete and masonry, painting, plastering, and mechanical repair and have the ability to determine cause of maintenance issues and take appropriate action. Employees shall also oversee offender workers engaged in maintenance tasks and receives general supervision from a designated supervisor. Employee should be knowledgeable in a variety of trade areas including: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, and mechanical repair. The employee must have the skill and ability to operate tractors, mowers, skid steer, and other grounds related equipment, the ability to provide and follow directions, the ability to interpret and apply technical manual, the ability to obtain required licenses and or certification, and the ability to work in varying weather conditions and traverse over rugged terrain.
