Job Description

Role Description This is a full-time on-site role located in Louisiana, MO, in the Street and Grounds Department. This position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and construction of city streets, sidewalks, drainage Systems, and various other public infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the maintenance and repair of city streets, sidewalks and curbs. Operating and maintaining various types of equipment. Perform street sweeping, pothole patching, and snow and ice removal. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Following all safety protocols and guidelines. Respond to emergency situations that require immediate attention. Assist with minor repairs to park facilities, playgrounds and equipment as needed. Qualifications Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs. Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Basic knowledge of landscaping grounds keeping and general maintenance preferred. Ability to operate or learn to operate tools and small machinery safely and effectively. Must be reliable, punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team. A valid driver's license is required. Clean criminal record. Must be able to pass initial drug screening and random drug tests throughout employment.
Benefits and Compensation Pay Rate:
$15.50/hr
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. Weekends, nights infrequently as needed.

City offered insurance or a monthly stipend.
