Job Description
At Trustwell Living, our Maintenance team plays an important role in creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents. As a Maintenance Assistant , you'll help keep our community, residents' apartments, grounds, and equipment in excellent condition while providing responsive and courteous service to the people who call our community home. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with their hands, and taking pride in maintaining a beautiful and safe environment. What You'll Do Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the community, including basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance, painting, and general repair work. Help prepare resident apartments for new occupants, including painting, carpet cleaning, and other maintenance needs. Conduct daily inspections of the building, grounds, and common areas to identify maintenance and safety needs. Respond to resident work orders and ensure maintenance requests are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Communicate with residents and supervisors regarding maintenance requests and provide updates when needed. Assist with preventative maintenance, maintenance records, inventory, purchasing, and tracking of supplies and equipment. Work with vendors and contractors as needed, including assisting with bids and coordinating contracted maintenance services. Help maintain compliance with applicable safety, OSHA, Life Safety Code, and assisted living requirements. Assist with emergency preparedness, disaster plans, safety procedures, and resident evacuation when necessary. Assist residents with move-in requests such as hanging pictures, shelves, clocks, and other approved accommodations. Support other departments and work collaboratively as part of the community team. Help create an environment that promotes resident satisfaction, safety, and quality of life. Perform other duties as assigned.
