Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Contract Maintenance Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in groundskeeping and general maintenance, ensuring that our facilities and outdoor areas are well-maintained, safe, and aesthetically pleasing.
Key Responsibilities:
Groundskeeping:
Mow, trim, and edge lawns and landscapes. Plant, water, and maintain flowers, shrubs, and trees. Remove weeds, debris, and litter from grounds. Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides as needed. Maintain and repair irrigation systems.
General Maintenance:
Perform routine inspections and maintenance of buildings and facilities. Repair and maintain plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Conduct minor carpentry and painting tasks. Ensure all maintenance equipment is in good working condition. Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies promptly.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in groundskeeping and general maintenance. Knowledge of landscaping techniques and equipment. Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Ability to operate maintenance tools and machinery. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Valid driver's license. Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs). Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
