Facilities Maintenance Worker

Full-Time Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as the Facilities Maintenance Worker. This position is responsible for general facility maintenance and upkeep of the property.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance tasks across all areas of the mine. Complete basic carpentry, plumbing, and painting work. Repair and maintain floors, sinks, walls, doors, and roofing. Service and maintain heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning units. Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and other items as needed. Work with the purchasing department to maintain supply inventory. Perform exterior property maintenance, including parking lot upkeep, weed removal, and snow removal. Maintain custodial rooms to ensure MSHA compliance including cleanliness, organization, and proper storage/labeling of hazardous materials.

Qualifications:

Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic facility maintenance tasks and troubleshooting. Two or more years of experience in general maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, septic, and painting. Ability to operate a computer system. Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and good communication skills. Ability to operate independently but must be able to work collaboratively with other team members. Electrical Certification is preferred or willingness to obtain - additional certification pay applies.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials (up to 60 lbs). Capability to bend, stoop, climb, reach, push, and pull. Physical stamina and the ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, humid, and dusty areas.
