Job Description

The Opportunity:
This role is responsible for coordinating maintenance work order flow, supporting scheduling efforts, and partnering with the inventory team to conduct cost analysis. The position plays a key role in maintaining operational efficiency by ensuring accurate documentation, strong communication across departments, and adherence to safety, housekeeping, and 5S standards. You will also support continuous improvement efforts and contribute to overall maintenance performance. How you will impact

Review and prioritize ready work orders Meet weekly with the Reliability Manager to schedule open work orders for technicians and B.U.G. associates, including estimating required downtime Develop daily schedules based on feedback and completed work Create bills of materials and maintenance request orders Participate in scheduling and coordination meetings Collaborate with production scheduling, maintenance specialists, departmental teams, and storeroom personnel Provide ongoing inventory feedback and support Assist with tracking and follow-up on maintenance assignments Ensure all work orders (10-99) are approved by the Reliability Manager (verbally or in writing) before advancing on the status grid; work order assignments are determined by the Reliability Manager Coordinate preventive maintenance (PM) assignments based on schedules provided; communicate PM needs to technicians and ensure weekly PM audits are completed Spend approximately 40% of time on the production floor observing maintenance activities, documenting repairs with photos and detailed descriptions, and engaging respectfully with staff in accordance with the Code of Conduct Attend ER Team meetings as recommended (not required) Conduct cost analysis in partnership with the inventory team, CI Manager, and technicians, comparing factory vs. in-house costs; share findings weekly with leadership Support special projects assigned by the Reliability Manager and CI Manager by documenting work (photos, notes, key observations) and preparing reports or spreadsheets for review and presentation Schedule and monitor preventive maintenance and cleaning of the oil shed; document discrepancies and report weekly Track and report safety-related repairs, including weekly findings; log JDE Safety work orders and submissions from the safety report box by date, equipment, and B&G, and submit reports weekly Maintain the ER board in collaboration with the ER team, maintenance technicians, inventory specialists, and machine shop personnel, highlighting safety repairs, cost savings, and upcoming projects What you need to succeed: Minimum High School Diploma or GED required Experience in an industrial environment Maintenance experience preferred Working knowledge of electrical systems Strong reporting, documentation, and organizational skills
