Performing preventive maintenance of various types of commercial HVAC equipment to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly is the primary responsibility of the Preventive Maintenance Helper. Types of equipment include air handlers and VAV systems. You may also assist workers and journeyman by performing general duties of lesser skill, such as keeping them supplied with materials and tools; holding materials and tools; and cleaning working area, machines, or equipment. TOTAL COMPENSATION PACKAGE

Click here to Follow EMI Services on Facebook Key Responsibilities Inspect motors, pulleys and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists. Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery. Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts. repair or replace parts and reassemble equipment. Performs other related duties as assigned Essential Skills Some knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment used in heating and cooling equipment and machinery Works effectively in a team. Follows verbal instructions and adheres to policies and procedures. Adaptable and flexible in work situations. Prioritizes tasks to ensure completion in a timely manner.

PRACTICES WORKPLACE SAFETY

in the use of tools, equipment, and supplies used in repair of HVAC equipment. including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). High school diploma or equivalent 1+ years related experience and/or formal vocational/technical training in a variety of building and/or utility trades Valid driver's license compliant with REAL ID Act or are you willing and able to obtain one Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check Regular, dependable attendance

S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted Use of hands, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and walking Prolonged periods of sitting, bending, squatting, standing, twisting, or stooping Climbing ladders and entering confined spaces Lifting and adjusting heavy objects, contact with sharp, hot and/or very cold supplies and equipment Work both indoors and outdoors in various temperatures (some extreme) and weather conditions
