City Clerk The City of Northwest is seeking a dependable and motivated Grounds & Facilities Maintenance Worker to maintain City buildings, parks, grounds, and public facilities. This position performs a variety of custodial, landscaping, and maintenance duties to ensure City property remains safe, clean, and well-maintained. Responsibilities include maintaining City grounds and buildings, mowing and landscaping, cleaning and disinfecting facilities, inspecting playgrounds and park equipment, monitoring and removing litter from City roadways, and ensuring City vehicles and equipment are properly maintained. The position also assists with routine inspections of HVAC systems, generators, fire extinguishers, and other emergency equipment. Additional duties include identifying and reporting safety hazards, documenting maintenance activities, supporting special events, and helping secure City property during emergencies. Required Skills & Qualifications Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks Experience operating mowers, tractors, hand tools, and power equipment General maintenance and equipment troubleshooting skills Knowledge of safe work practices and preventative maintenance Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping abilities Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Effective communication and teamwork skills Valid North Carolina driver's license required High school diploma or GED preferred Compensation •
Full-Time:
$38,233 - $40,124 annually •
Part-Time:
