Job Description

Pay:
From $17.00 to $20.00 per Hour Job description: Overview Maintenance Technician is responsible for handling a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality and safety of equipment, systems, and facilities within self-storage environments. This role demands a blend of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and meticulous attention to detail. Maintenance Technicians are crucial in maintaining smooth and efficient operations in self-storage settings.
Key Responsibilities Routine Inspections:
Conduct regular inspections of self-storage units, equipment, and systems to identify potential issues or areas needing maintenance.
Repairs and Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and repair problems with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems specific to self-storage facilities, restoring functionality as needed.
Preventive Maintenance:
Implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
Documentation:
Maintain precise records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive measures.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure all tasks comply with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
Collaboration:
Work closely with team members, contractors, and vendors to address maintenance needs and improvements specific to self-storage facilities.
Emergency Response:
Be available for emergency maintenance and repairs outside of regular working hours as required. Maintenance duties include small fixes around the property, maintaining storage doors, light landscape management, upkeep of indoors of the buildings, etc. Ensuring grounds and facility are in excellent condition, including ensuring no garbage or weeds Reviewing, cleaning and preparing vacated units for rent
Qualifications Experience:
Previous experience in maintenance or a similar field is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in using hand and power tools, and the ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Problem-Solving:
Strong analytical skills to diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.
Communication:
Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and report on maintenance activities.
Physical Stamina:
Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions. Work Environment Maintenance Technicians in self-storage settings work in environments that may involve standing for extended periods, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
