Job Description

Job Overview Hatley Pointe is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and safety-focused Mountain Operations Technician to support year-round resort operations. The Mountain Operations Technician is a hands-on role responsible for assisting with a wide variety of operational functions including snowmaking, lift operations support, grounds maintenance, heavy equipment operation, construction projects, property improvements, snow removal, trail maintenance, and general resort operations. Successful candidates are adaptable, self-motivated, and willing to contribute wherever needed to support the success of the resort. Duties Assist with daily mountain operations and seasonal resort activities. Support snowmaking operations and winter mountain preparation. Assist with lift operations support and lift area maintenance. Participate in seasonal opening and closing procedures. Assist with trail maintenance, grading, drainage improvements, and mountain infrastructure projects. Assist with transporting materials and equipment throughout the property. Maintain trails, roads, parking lots, guest-use areas, and mountain facilities. Assist with construction, renovation, and capital improvement projects. Support maintenance teams with repairs and preventative maintenance. Assist with installation, repair, and upkeep of resort infrastructure. Support facility maintenance needs throughout the property. Skills Strong work ethic with a proactive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in varying weather conditions Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and visitors Basic understanding of safety procedures and willingness to follow protocols diligently Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Prior experience in outdoor recreation or maintenance is a plus but not required Valid driver's license or ability to operate small equipment may be preferred Physical Requirements Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work on uneven terrain for extended periods. Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and during inclement weather as operational needs require. Comfortable working in a physically demanding outdoor environment.
Pay:
From $18.00 per hour
