It is CRCI's Management's desire that each person involved with the organization has a burden for the lost, the sick, and the suffering. Staff is a representation of the CRCI program, and it will be expected for them to conduct themselves in a manner that would always promote and elevate the image of CRCI to the community. Any behavior that promotes a negative image of the organization is unacceptable.Job Summary:
The primary duty of the Maintenance Coordinator is to provide maintenance services and technical support to all aspects of CRCI facilities and equipment. Maintenance Coordinator will also be expected to lead, assist in, and support the day-to-day and long-term operational activities of Christian Recovery Centers, Inc. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: maintenance, training, information technology services, managing inventory, obtaining supplies, operating within the bounds of an assigned budget, management/supervision of program residents, record keeping, transportation, scheduling, and safety. Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent (or willingness to obtain through
CRCI GED
program within first year)- Valid Driver's License
REQUIRED
○ Must meet CRCI eligibility requirements based on MVR (3-5 year lookback) ○ Must safely operate CRCI vehicles and transport residents as needed- Clean drug screen (pre-employment & random)
- Must abstain from prohibited substances (illicit drugs, alcohol, prescription narcotics, nicotine, and "legal high" substances) while on CRCI property, with residents, or at any time representing the organization. Skills
- Must have a medium-to-advanced understanding of mechanical, electrical, digital systems, and maintenance tools.
- Must be able to diagnose issues and use digital task tracking software for data entry, research, and communication purposes. This position requires the use of computer systems, and applicants must possess the ability to operate effectively in a digital space by becoming familiar with Google, Microsoft, Airtable, Adobe, and Linux-based systems such as Android.
- Must work professionally with residents, staff, volunteers, and community partners.
- Able to problem solve effectively by evaluating issues, identifying solutions, and prioritizing tasks.
- Able to respond to changing needs and varied work environments.
- Time management is a crucial part of the job. Must be able to prioritize tasks, accurately estimate time to complete assignments, and communicate updates to the team and to supervisors.
- Works alongside residents and staff; ensures safety and compliance with program standards.
Crisis Management:
Able to remain calm, mediate conflict, and make safety-driven decisions. Primary Duties- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facilities, vehicles, and equipment (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, flooring, kitchen equipment, grounds, generators, etc.).
- Maintain a prioritized task list and respond to assignments promptly.
- Track inventory, replenish supplies, and maintain records.
- Keep daily assignments updated in our data management system (such as Airtable) and coordinate with Google Calendar for resident scheduling.
- Supervise and direct resident participation during project times, including preparation, safety, cleanup, and documentation.
- Coordinate with Resident Care Departments to plan tasks at least one week in advance unless urgent.
- Assist other departments as needed.
- Provide training and support for assigned residents and staff.
- Serve as point of contact for maintenance, transportation, supplies, and logistics requests.
- Solicit cost-effective service providers; maintain preferred partner and preferred service provider databases.
- Develop and evaluate new methods for facility operations.
- Ensure safety and security procedures are followed by staff, residents, and volunteers at all times.
- Manage transportation logistics for maintenance-related activities.
- Submit estimates or proposals when projects exceed budgeted expectations.
- Conduct and train other staff on how to conduct pre-trip inspections on all types of vehicles.
- Conduct and train others on how to conduct regular and preventative maintenance on their assigned equipment. Program Interactions
- Support a Christ-centered environment by modeling biblical principles.
- Maintain recovery-conducive environments onsite and offsite.
- Promote spiritual growth and provide encouragement to residents.
- Enforce proper behavior and teach residents through hands-on work-based learning.
- Be prepared to teach residents as needed and understand how to effectively relate to their experience in faith, recovery, and life in general.
- Help residents explore interests in trades or service careers. ○ Potentially train and supervise an intern from the residential programs who is interested in a career in this field.
- Participate in mentoring residents and supporting the LDI and senior resident programs.
