Job Description

Shifts Available First Shift (6:00AM to 2:30PM, M-F) Overview The Maintenance Assistant helps to keep our equipment, building, and property running safely and smoothly. This is a hands-on position for someone who likes fixing things, working with tools, and staying busy. You'll work closely with our Maintenance Technician, learning from them and helping carry out assigned work. You'll get to take ownership of your tasks, work safely, and stay productive while getting the support you need to do the job well. Key Responsibilities • Help repair and maintain production equipment, forklifts, and other shop equipment Support keeping the building, yard, and grounds in good shape Replace lights, make basic repairs, and help with small electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry jobs Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other equipment as needed Help keep maintenance records and assist with ordering repair parts Jump in where needed and help with other maintenance tasks Qualifications Mechanical aptitude or prior experience with tools, equipment, farm machinery, automotive repair, construction, or general maintenance work Ability to work safely, follow instructions, and use good judgment on the job Self-motivated and able to stay on task and complete assignments independently Able to lift, climb ladders, and safely work from elevated platforms or lifts when needed Dependable, punctual, and consistent in attendance Why work for Patriot Equipment? $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
