We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cleaning and Maintenance Worker to keep our facilities spotless, safe, and well-maintained. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning, custodial, and maintenance tasks across our commercial and residential properties. Your efforts will ensure a clean, welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and residents alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of a professional setting while developing your skills in facilities maintenance and industrial cleaning. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment. Conduct detailed janitorial duties such as trash removal, dusting, mopping, sweeping, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold hygiene standards. Carry out floor care activities including buffing, polishing, stripping, and waxing to maintain a polished appearance. Assist with custodial tasks related to residential painting or minor repairs as needed to support property upkeep. Operate industrial cleaning machinery such as floor scrubbers or buffers safely and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness of facility fixtures, windows, and furniture while adhering to safety protocols. Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for plumbing, electrical systems, or structural issues promptly. Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are stored properly and maintained in good working order. Qualifications Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial work within commercial or residential settings. Knowledge of various cleaning techniques including industrial cleaning methods and floor care procedures like buffing and waxing. Familiarity with custodial tools, equipment operation, and safety practices related to facilities maintenance. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and climbing ladders when necessary. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout the workday. Previous porter or facilities maintenance experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
