Variable hours (1st shift/swing shift/late-night shift) weekend and holidays required Job Responsibilities Works closely with the Facilities Manager and Sr. Building Engineer in creating a working environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and team member satisfaction. Ensures efficient follow-up on all work orders submitted by property management and keeps the Facilities Manager & Senior Building Engineer informed of anticipated delays in completing the requested work. Assists in the preparation of annual preventative maintenance schedules to ensure all property systems and equipment are serviced and maintained properly. Establishes positive working relationships with all vendors, fire, and safety officials. Stock, track and maintain supplies and equipment. Plan, prioritize, assign and work by shift accounting for property volumes due to special events, promotions, and holidays. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment. To provide BIG Service to guests and ensure their complete satisfaction, inclusive of greeting and interacting with guests in a friendly and enthusiastic manner, anticipating and meeting guest needs and preferences, remaining calm and professional when dealing with guests that are difficult or upset. The ability to work safely. This includes clearly understanding and following company safety policies and procedures, completing work in a safe manner, caring about safety of self and others, responding appropriately in an emergency, and reporting unsafe conditions. Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry. Education and Minimum Requirements Must be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). Knowledge of the following is preferred, but not required: HVAC (Boiler and Chiller Operation), Refrigeration (Walk-in Cooler and Freezer Maintenance), Kitchen Appliance Repair, Plumbing Repair, Building Sprinkler System and Electrical Must pass all required pre-screening and background checks. Internal candidates must meet the eligibility requirements as provided in the Transfer and Promotion policy. Ability to work a variety of shifts, this includes day, swing, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts as scheduled. Must be able to work on call shifts. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid New Hampshire gaming license. Physical/Mental Working Demands Must be able to move in and around the work area throughout the entire workday. Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to engage and interact with all guests appropriately and work well under the pressure of a fast-paced environment. Must be able to successfully communicate on a regular basis with all co- workers, vendors, and guests both in person and over the telephone. Must be able to access and interpret information on computer screens. Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, twist, balance, and work the entire property; to include the ability to tolerate changes in temperature, frequent, use of maintenance supplies and materials, cleaning, and sanitizing solutions. Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted, and it can be loud with guest chatter, overhead music, and live entertainment. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and respond to visual and aural cues. Must possess the manual dexterity to operate a variety of cleaning equipment and tools requiring the ability to grab, grip, hold, pour, tear, cut, sort and reach.
