Job Description

Position Overview:
Perform general repairs in and around the hotel as needed. These duties may be described as, but not limited to: Assist the
Team:
Support senior maintenance staff with complex repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance tasks.
General Repairs:
Perform basic building maintenance, such as patching walls, tightening fixtures, changing light bulbs, and replacing air filters.
Grounds Upkeep:
Maintain exterior areas by picking up trash, sweeping walkways, and assisting with basic landscaping or seasonal snow removal.
Equipment Care:
Clean, organize, and maintain workshop areas, tools, and maintenance equipment.
Janitorial Support:
Clean and sanitize common areas, empty trash receptacles, and help set up furniture for meetings or events.
Inventory Management:
Help track and restock maintenance supplies, parts, and janitorial inventory.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Must read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace. Must have all around skills and be able to make minor electrical, plumbing, a/c, painting, wallpaper, and carpentry repairs. Must possess a high level of accuracy and neatness. Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length and be able to reach other locations of the hotel on a timely basis. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to full cleaning and maintenance tasks. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular and continuing basis, frequently lift 50 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds. The worker is subject to hazards; includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat, chemicals, atmospheric conditions—one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or skin: fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, oils or other cutting fluids, or poor ventilation. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity. Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in general maintenance, construction, or janitorial services is a plus. Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform physical labor in various weather conditions. Familiarity with standard hand and power tools. Strong work ethic and willingness to follow instructions and learn new skills on the job. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
