Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to support our maintenance operations by managing the maintenance parts inventory, coordinating the parts room, maintaining the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program, and assisting with daily work-order planning. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance, experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) , and the ability to effectively prioritize maintenance activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Establish and maintain policies and procedures for the maintenance parts room in accordance with industrial manufacturing standards. Utilize Maintenance Connection/CMMS to manage inventory, work orders, maintenance information, and equipment reliability. Maintain appropriate inventory levels, with a strong focus on ensuring critical spare parts are available for essential equipment. Monitor and maintain security, cleanliness, organization, and proper storage of the maintenance parts room. Perform cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies. Inspect incoming maintenance parts and materials for quality and accuracy. Assist Maintenance Managers with purchasing maintenance parts, materials, and supplies. Track purchase orders and provide timely status updates to management. Manage outgoing maintenance shipments, including bills of lading, pickup scheduling, and shipment tracking. Maintain, update, and execute the company's Preventive Maintenance Program . Work closely with mechanics and maintenance personnel to identify required parts and materials for repairs and PM activities. Assist with assigning and prioritizing daily maintenance work orders. Coordinate annual inspections of plant equipment and ensure required documentation is maintained. Assist with estimating repair downtime and scheduling planned preventive maintenance activities. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements & Qualifications Degree, diploma, or certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred/required. CMMS experience is required. Previous experience with Preventive Maintenance and Maintenance Inventory Management . Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, and spare parts. Ability to estimate repair downtime and plan preventive maintenance activities. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple plant maintenance needs. Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with vendors and suppliers. Strong computer skills and ability to work with maintenance management software. Ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
