Repairer

New Jersey Water Supply Authority has a full-time position for a Repairer in our Facilities Operations and Maintenance department at the Spruce Run Reservoir, located in Clinton, NJ. NJWSA's water system is made up of the Round Valley, Spruce Run and Manasquan Reservoirs, as well as 60 miles of the D&R Canal system. Clean water is our most precious resource, and two million NJ residents depend upon us to guarantee the continuation of this resource. The Repairer supports this mission by repairing and maintaining the Authority's buildings, building facilities, and utilities.

Duties include:

Repair and maintenance of building interiors and exteriors, including painting, carpentry, metal work, tile work, and masonry. Basic plumbing maintenance and repairs. Basic electrical maintenance and repairs. Basic maintenance and repair of pumps and motors. Job description is posted under Employment on our website https://www.njwsa.org/. A successful candidate requires graduation from high school or vocational high school or possession of an approved high school equivalency certificate; plus one year experience in work involving the inspection, repair, and general maintenance of household, office, and other equipment, fixtures, fittings, appliances, machinery, furnishings and buildings. Additionally, a valid driver's license is required, and NJ residency is required within the first year of employment.
