Full Job Description Job Description:

Responsible for tree removal, trimming, and pruning, which may be required due to environmental, aesthetic, roadway obstruction, or other safety-related factors.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Cut away dead, obstructive, or excess branches from trees or shrubbery Utilize chainsaws and hacksaws to safely cut down trees and tree limbs Climb trees with safety devices or utilize buckets/lifts to properly cut down limbs and prune trees; remove branches away from power lines and reshape trees to aesthetically pleasing shapes Remove debris and cart away large logs and limbs for disposal; and clear parks, facilities, and roads of tree branches, fallen trees, and other debris May be required to water/fertilize trees, spray and treat diseased trees, and apply tar to cut surfaces to seal in moisture.

Skills:

Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions involved in tree maintenance work. Experience with tree removal and use of cutting/pruning equipment preferred.

Salary:
