Job Description
Untitled Building Maintenance Worker The Housing Authority of the City of Summit is seeking applicants for the position of Building Maintenance Worker. The maintenance staff performs a variety of tasks, including responding to work orders; providing basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs; painting and drywall repair; cleaning of buildings and grounds; light landscaping; routine preventive maintenance; and other duties as assigned. The successful candidate must be available to participate in a rotating evening and weekend emergency on-call schedule, be able to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds, have a valid New Jersey driver's license, and be available for snow removal during active snowfall.
