Maintenance Staff West Orange Tennis Club West Orange, NJ Job Details Part-time | Full-time $23 - $28 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off Qualifications Minor electrical repair Landscape maintenance Interpersonal skills Equipment repair Electrical work Mechanical repair Electrical maintenance Filter replacement Full Job Description Job description: A multi-faceted position performing the daily maintenance, repairs & cleanliness of West Orange Tennis ClubThe job requires the individual to possess high levels of organization, efficiency, ability to evaluate appearance and needed repairs as the primary function is to maintain West Orange Tennis Club's physical plant. Good basic general maintenance, mechanical and cleaning skills are needed as well as the ability to maintain all club equipment and comfortably lift a minimum of 50 lbs. The maintenance employee must be a reliable team player with associates, upper management and outside vendors/contractors as applicable. He/she must be highly flexible as dictated by job necessities.
The maintenance worker will be required to: Check/meet daily with Club Manager and the Director of Operations for a detailed list of issues. Report to Club Manager any findings or observations that are discovered during the workday. Prep clay and courts as needed for daily activities Wash, dry and fold towels Check/replace lights bulbs Check/remove garbage Check/adjust room/tennis court temperatures if instructed by Club Manager Check/refill paper products, soap, cups, rock salt, gasoline and etc. and notify Club Manager when ordering supplies is necessary Check/clean/replace all HVAC filters Check/repair curtains, nets, benches and other court conditions. Clean/vacuum tennis courts as scheduled by Club Manager Check/adjust court clocks and bells so they are synchronized Check/clean all parking areas Salt paved and concrete areas in winter months as needed Perform landscaping tasks as applicable Perform other general repairs, maintenance and cleaning of the grounds and buildings (interior and exterior) as applicable. Maintain all club tools/equipment. If service, replacement or purchase is needed notify Club Manager's before taking action. Run errands as directed by Club Manager Report any hazards to Club Manager and take action if an imminent hazard is found and Club Manger or Managing member are unable to be contacted Basic plumbing and electrical skills needed Participate in safety training and safety inspections as dictated by
