Maintenance Worker

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance worker to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. You must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina. 1. Complete Janitorial Duties of public areas and property premises. Empty waste receptacles of all public areas and parking lot Sweep and shovel Maintain cleanliness of public areas and parking lot at all times 2. Service pool and spa Test pool and spa as stated by State and City regulations Check Skimmers and water levels daily Clean, adjust, and perform minor repairs to pool and equipment Clean and repair filter system Distribute chemicals, in prescribed amounts, to purify water 3. Repairs and maintains any items on maint. log or requests by Manager. 4. Keeps accurate records of key control changes. 5. Maintain all fixtures and equipment according to preventative maint. schedule completing at least four rooms per week and all public areas. 6. Before leaving make a final check of property inside and out. 7. Avail for needed repairs in emergency situations. 8. Distributing inventory of storage areas. 9. Being part of team to maintain high guest service scores. 10. Have a thorough knowledge of all emergency procedures and how to follow the steps. 11. Perform all other duties as requested by Supervisor or Manager. 12. Inspire everyday.

General Description:

The maintenance person responsible for general repairs and upkeep of property. This person is also responsible for servicing pool and spa and all requests by Manager.

Basic Criteria:

Must have strong mechanical background. Good time management and be well organized.

Weight Requirements:

40-60 pounds for lifting. Additional job duties Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repair Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs Maintaining the building HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems, such as using a sealant on a flat roof Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries Painting the building when old paint has become faded or chipped Skills Proven experience as assistant director or other similar position Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems Experience using hand and electrical tools Ability to read technical manuals and drawings Very good communication and interpersonal skills Physical stamina and dexterity High school diploma or equivalent Successful completion of an apprenticeship is required
