Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian/Maintenance Worker to keep our facilities clean, safe, and well-maintained. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning, custodial, and maintenance tasks to ensure a welcoming and functional environment for staff, visitors, and clients. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety across our premises. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and sanitizing common areas to maintain a spotless environment. Conduct detailed janitorial and custodial tasks in offices, restrooms, hallways, and other shared spaces. Carry out floor care procedures such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning to preserve flooring quality. Assist with residential painting projects or touch-ups to enhance facility appearance when needed. Execute industrial cleaning tasks for specialized equipment or large-scale areas requiring deep cleaning techniques. Support facilities maintenance activities including minor repairs, light plumbing or electrical work, and equipment upkeep. Maintain cleanliness standards in accordance with safety regulations and company policies while ensuring all tools and supplies are properly stored. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly preferred. Hands-on experience with floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning. Knowledge of industrial cleaning procedures and facilities maintenance practices. Familiarity with basic painting tasks and minor repair work is a plus. Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to health and safety guidelines.
