Key Responsibilities Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions Inspect drives, motors, pulleys and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts repair or replace parts and reassemble equipment Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work Order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers, or obtain them from storerooms Performs other related duties as assigned Essential Skills Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment used in HVAC in a
COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRAL
setting Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts Use hand tools, measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices such as meters Use rules, calipers, micrometers, or other measuring instruments. Adaptable and flexible in work situations Prioritizes tasks to ensure completion in a timely manner
PRACTICES WORKPLACE SAFETY
in the use of tools, equipment, and supplies used in repair of HVAC equipment. Including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
