Seneca Lake Resorts, located in Romulus, NY about 20 minutes South of Geneva, boasts a reconstructed marina, a ship store with restrooms, showers, and laundry, thirty-nine rental cabins, two bathhouses, one hundred and fifty seasonal RV sites with full hookups, a fleet of rental pontoon boats, The Vista event space, a partnership with Pat's Pizzeria, an outdoor movie theatre, a registration building, a dog park, and one of the largest and most well-appointed miniature golf courses in the region. About the role : This position is responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance tasks, making minor repairs, and ensuring upkeep of buildings, grounds and equipment to ensure the smooth operation of Seneca Lake Resorts marina.
Responsibilities :
Provide general upkeep of all marina buildings and grounds to ensure they are clean, well kept and functional. Maintain docks and pedestals in an orderly and clean manner. Perform manual routine maintenance tasks to marina buildings and grounds. Troubleshoot issues, perform minor repairs to marina buildings and grounds, and report any necessary major repairs or maintenance needs to the Marina Manager. Maintain records of maintenance, repair tasks and inspections as required. Communicate any maintenance issues/concerns to the Marina Manager. Serve as the main point of contact for the marina; respond to customer and guest inquiries and provide information about the marina. Assist with marina inquiries and reservations. Complete pontoon boat rentals, including but not limited to greet and brief customer, check in/inspect pontoon upon return and clean and prepare pontoon for the next rental. Facilitate fuel sales and pump outs. Monitor launch pass usage. Maintain compliance with safety regulations and maintenance standards. Follow and enforce all company policies and established procedures. May be asked to perform other duties and/or assist in other departments when needed and assigned by the General Manager.
Education/Experience Requirements :
High school diploma or its equivalent preferred. Knowledgeable with boating and marina terminology and operations preferred. Experience in maintenance preferred. Knowledgeable in the operation and maintenance of power and hand tools and equipment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to work as part of a team to promote and achieve established goals.
Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee must be able to stand, sit, walk on uneven surfaces, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers. Pay:
$16-17 per hour, 1 Full Time (40 hours per week), and 1 Part Time (hours vary), seasonal April-October.
