Building Attendant

Building Attendant Burns Management is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Building Attendant to maintain cleanliness, safety, and functionality in a mixed-use residential, retail, and restaurant property in Saratoga Springs, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring both the living, common area, and dining spaces are kept to a high standard, are consistently well-maintained, clean, and welcoming for residents, guests, and patrons. The Building Attendant will be tasked with supporting the smooth operation of assigned buildings, and act as a liaison between management teams, vendors, guests, and residents.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform daily cleaning of common and residential areas (hallways, lobbies, elevators, stairwells, rest rooms, apartments). Maintain task checklists provided by service foreman Light concierge tasks as needed Maintain positive attitude, support resident and guest relations Monitor and report maintenance issues (e.g., lighting, plumbing, HVAC). Respond to resident service requests and assist with minor repairs. Manage trash and recycling collection from designated areas. Ensure secure access to the building; monitor visitor entry as needed. Act as liaison between management teams and building guests Assist with supply stocking. Understand the gold standard and identify/remedy deficiencies Support during health inspections or emergencies (e.g., spills, minor maintenance). Coordinate repairs and communicate with vendors as necessary Other tasks in support of overall operational excellence of the building, as identified by supervising staff

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in custodial, building maintenance, or hospitality preferred. Must maintain clean and professional appearance at all times. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repairs, and must demonstrate initiative and willingness to learn. Ability to lift 40+ pounds and perform physical tasks. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
