Job Description

Job Summary Maintenance is responsible for the overall maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the hotel's guest rooms, public areas, and mechanical systems. This role ensures the property is safe, functional, and well-maintained while providing a positive experience for guests and supporting hotel operations. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general carpentry Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests (e.g., TV issues, HVAC adjustments, plumbing concerns) Complete preventative maintenance tasks according to schedule Maintain and repair hotel equipment, fixtures, and systems Inspect property regularly to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards Troubleshoot and resolve issues with HVAC systems, lighting, appliances, and mechanical equipment Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance shop and storage areas Assist with groundskeeping, including basic landscaping and snow removal as needed Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and company policies Keep accurate records of work orders and maintenance activities Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when necessary Assist with room deep cleaning projects and special assignments Qualifications Previous maintenance experience in hospitality, facilities, or a related field preferred Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve independently Strong attention to detail and time management skills Good communication and customer service skills Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift for extended periods Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds Ability to use hand and power tools safely Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions Work Environment Fast-paced hotel environment Exposure to mechanical systems, tools, and cleaning chemicals May require on-call availability for emergencies Schedule may include evenings, weekends, and holidays Schedule & Status Full-time or part-time based on business needs Flexible schedule; may include on-call or rotating shifts Additional Expectations Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor Follow all safety procedures and brand standards Provide friendly, courteous service when interacting with guests Support team members and contribute to overall hotel operations
