Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and reliable Porter/Maintenance Worker to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our facilities. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure a welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and clients alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a well-maintained, efficient workspace while developing valuable skills in facilities maintenance and custodial services. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of common areas, offices, restrooms, and hallways using appropriate janitorial techniques and equipment Conduct routine floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance Assist with light maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and troubleshooting facility issues Support industrial cleaning projects by handling specialized cleaning equipment and procedures as needed Ensure all cleaning supplies and maintenance tools are well-stocked, organized, and properly maintained Monitor facility safety by inspecting for hazards, reporting issues promptly, and supporting emergency response efforts when necessary Support overall custodial operations by performing trash removal, restroom sanitation, and general upkeep Requirements Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services with a focus on commercial or residential environments Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors Prior experience with industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is highly desirable Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively; familiarity with commercial cleaning tools preferred Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Physical stamina to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods and climbing ladders if needed Join us in creating a clean, safe, and inviting environment!
