This is a mid day shift 5 hours per day, 4 days per week. Purpose The Building and Grounds Maintenance Employee is responsible for maintaining the appearance, functionality, and safety of the manufacturing facility, grounds, and surrounding property. This position performs routine maintenance, repairs, landscaping, snow removal, housekeeping and general upkeep activities to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient work environment for employees, visitors, and customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of buildings, grounds, parking lots, walkways, and facility infrastructure.
- Complete minor repairs involving carpentry, plumbing, painting, drywall, flooring, and general maintenance.
- Remove snow and ice from sidewalks, entrances, parking lots, and loading areas using hand tools and equipment.
- Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment including trimmers, snow blowers, and utility vehicles.
- Assist with preventative maintenance programs for facility systems and equipment.
- Perform routine cleaning and upkeep of interior and exterior areas, dumpsters, fences, lighting, and drainage systems.
- Replace light bulbs, filters, and other facility components as needed.
- Support facility improvement projects, renovations, and equipment installations.
- Monitor building conditions and report maintenance issues requiring specialized repairs.
- Maintain maintenance logs, inspection records, and work orders.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, environmental regulations, and OSHA requirements.
- Assist with emergency response activities and facility-related incidents as needed.
- Support production operations by performing miscellaneous maintenance tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Minimum of 1-3 years of building maintenance, groundskeeping, facilities maintenance, or related experience preferred. Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, painting, and landscaping practices. Ability to safely operate power tools, hand tools, lawn equipment, and snow removal equipment. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks. Physical Requirements Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely operate maintenance and groundskeeping equipment. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Work Environment Manufacturing and industrial facility environment. Exposure to moving machinery, noise, dust, chemicals, and varying temperatures. Outdoor work required year-round, including during adverse weather conditions. Occasional overtime, weekends, or emergency call-ins may be required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Working knowledge of facility maintenance procedures and equipment. Ability to read and follow work orders, safety instructions, and operating procedures. Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety. Good communication and teamwork skills. Dependable attendance and positive work ethic. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification. Experience operating skid steer loaders, utility tractors, or similar equipment.
