Job Description

Highway Worker Are you looking for a rewarding career serving your community? Join our team as a Highway Worker and help maintain the safety and quality of Geauga County's roads and bridges. Under the direction of supervisory staff, the Highway Worker performs a variety of tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and improvement of county highways and bridges. This position also requires the safe operation of a wide range of motorized equipment and plays a vital role in winter operations, including snow and ice removal to help keep county roads safe for the traveling public.
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain, repair, and improve county roads and bridges. Safely operate a variety of heavy equipment and motorized vehicles. Perform snow and ice removal during winter weather events. Follow all safety procedures and work effectively as part of a team. Perform other related highway maintenance duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job. Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Tanker Endorsement is required. From $25.75 per hour
