We are seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to oversee facility maintenance, handle general repairs, and keep our production equipment running smoothly. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient working environment. Beyond facility and machine upkeep, you'll also serve as an adaptable team player—stepping in to assist with production line support or special projects during operational downtime. Key Responsibilities1. General Facility & Facility Maintenance Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems (HVAC filters, basic plumbing, lighting, doors, and facility infrastructure). Perform light construction like minor repairs, light carpentry, and complete basic indoor electrical work (e.g., swapping fixtures, outlets, and switches). Manage seasonal indoor facility needs and maintain organized maintenance shop areas and tool inventories. Respond promptly to facility issues or emergency maintenance requests to minimize downtime. 2. Equipment & Machinery Repair Conduct routine preventive maintenance (PM) and servicing on manufacturing equipment, power tools, and shop machinery. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on production equipment. Maintain clear logs of equipment maintenance, repairs, and part replacements. Collaborate with production leadership to order necessary repair parts and maintain critical spare parts inventory. 3.
Production Line Support & Versatility Downtime Assistance:
Step onto the manufacturing floor to support production, assembly, packaging, or material handling during production peaks or maintenance downtime. Assist with setting up, moving, or reconfiguring work stations and assembly lines as production needs evolve. Support safety initiatives by ensuring workstations, walkways, and emergency access areas meet compliance standards.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
2+ years of hands-on experience in facility maintenance, industrial maintenance, or a related skilled trade in a light manufacturing environment.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong mechanical aptitude and basic electrical/pneumatic troubleshooting skills. Comfort using a wide variety of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Basic understanding of general building systems (HVAC, plumbing, basic electrical).
Adaptability:
A flexible, team-first mindset with a willingness to assist on the production floor when primary maintenance tasks are complete.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, bend, kneel, and safely climb ladders and use high lifts.
