Required for emergency rotation Reports to Property Manager Position Summary RT Group Properties is seeking a reliable and skilled Floating Maintenance Technician to support multiple apartment communities in southern Michigan and Northern Ohio. This position plays an essential role in assisting with the properties upkeep and ensuring all service requests are completed efficiently, courteously, and to high-quality standards. The Floating Maintenance Technician will travel between assigned properties based on operational needs, as directed by the Service Manager, Property Manager, or Regional/Facilities Manager.   • Rotate between properties as needed and directed by managers.
Prepare units for apartment turnovers. Complete resident work orders promptly while providing friendly, professional service. Follow preventative maintenance programs and guidelines. Operate and maintain equipment such as snow blowers, and electric tools. Maintain safe, clean, and appealing property grounds year‑round. Conduct annual unit inspections. Deliver excellent customer service to residents, prospects, vendors, and colleagues. Knowledge, Skills & Requirements Minimum 1 year of related maintenance experience and/or training. Valid Driver's License required. Reliable Transportation is a must. Must have own tools. Availability for on‑call emergency rotation. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must successfully pass a criminal background check. Strong customer service skills. Ability to uphold and embody MRD Apartments' Core Values daily. We are an equal opportunity employer.
