Summer Maintenance Worker

Summer Maintenance Worker Position Overview We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Summer Maintenance Worker to join our facilities team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our seasonal upkeep, ensuring our grounds and buildings remain safe, clean, and welcoming during the busiest months of the year. This is a physical, hands-on position perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors, using tools, and seeing the immediate results of a day's work.

Key Responsibilities Groundskeeping:

Mow lawns, trim hedges, weed garden beds, and ensure all walkways are clear of debris.

General Repairs:

Assist with minor plumbing, carpentry, or electrical repairs (e.g., fixing leaky faucets, repairing fences, or replacing light bulbs).

Painting & Refurbishing:

Prep surfaces and apply fresh coats of paint or stain to benches, railings, and interior walls.

Janitorial Support:

Perform deep-cleaning tasks, empty trash receptacles, and ensure restrooms and common areas are stocked and sanitized.

Equipment Maintenance:

Clean and perform basic checks on tools and machinery (mowers, leaf blowers, etc.) to ensure they are in good working order.

Safety Compliance:

Identify and report potential safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.

Required Skills & Qualifications Physical Stamina:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs , stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions (heat, humidity, or light rain).

Technical Aptitude:

Familiarity with basic hand tools and power equipment (drills, saws, lawnmowers).

Reliability:

A track record of being punctual and maintaining a consistent schedule.

Communication:

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work effectively within a team.
